Al and Vern raised Scott and his four siblings in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he played baseball and learned to fly planes. Scott graduated from Owasso High School in 1982 and from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Instrumentation.
Professionally, he built a long and respected career as an engineer, working over thirty years at Schlumberger before continuing his journey at Liberty Energy. Work brought Scott to the great state of Texas, where he met Karen, the mother of his two girls. Scott and Karen raised Kelsey and Katie in Richmond, Texas.
He found joy in the outdoors, particularly while fishing or boating on the serene waters of Canyon Lake. He was a loyal fan of the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Houston Astros. Scott found comfort in the familiar sounds of classic rock, traditional country music, and the timeless charm of old westerns. Few things delighted him more than a cold Dr Pepper, a visit to Whataburger, or a generous serving of crawfish with good company.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Veronica Parker, and his sisters Karen, Deborah, and Kathleen.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Karen Parker; his daughters, Kelsey and Katie Parker; and his brother, Brian Parker.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Scott’s memory to Fort Bend Ramps, a cause close to his heart.
