

Sybil Anne Farley, passed away at her home surrounded by her family, on September 11, 2011, at the age of 60. She was born in Yonkers, New York, on September 21, 1950, to George and Anne Bova. She lived in Yonkers until she attended graduate school in Paris, France, where she met her husband Jan. They settled in Sugar Land, Texas, where she raised her two children, Elizabeth and Christopher, and taught French at Dulles Middle School until her retirement. She spent the last two years of her life living in London, United Kingdom, and traveling around Europe and the United States with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Bova. She is survived by her husband, Jan Edwin Farley; her children, Elizabeth Farley Prater and Christopher George Farley; her mother Anne Bova; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at The Settegast-Kopf Co @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit). Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 15, 2011, in the Morrow Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co @ Sugar Creek, with the Rev. M. Eugene Vickrey, officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Houston.
