

She was born on July 21, 1933 in Conroe, Texas and had been a resident of the Sulphur/Carlyss area for the last 60 years. She had fond memories of growing up in Conroe, Texas with her brother, Jimmy, where she was born and raised.
She moved to DeRidder with her mother, graduated, and later moved to Lake Charles. She worked at Olin Mathison, where she also met her future husband, Edwin Vincent. On January 17, 1954 she married Edwin, and this year they celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. She worked for approximately 6 years then stayed home and raised her two children. She enjoyed drawing pictures of Precious Moments and vintage cartoon characters. She loved spending time with her family during the holidays, especially Christmas time. Annette was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edwin Lee Vincent of Sulphur; her son, Barry Lee Vincent and wife, Joanna Dubois Vincent of Sulphur; her daughter, Pamela Vincent Hardy and husband, Brian Keith Hardy of Aledo, Texas; her grandchildren, Garrett Westin Hardy, Blake Vincent Hardy, Joshua Trahan and wife, Sarah, Amy Vincent, Amber Delatte, and Michael Vincent; and four great grandchildren. Annette was preceded in death by her father and mother, Wisdom Young Scoggins, Sr. and Viva Elizabeth Carpenter Scoggins; two brothers, Wisdom Young Scoggins, Jr. and James Harvey Scoggins; and two sisters, Viva Maxine Stover and Gerneth Olive Phillips.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 9, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Jody Barilleaux will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
