Shang was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and retired with the Lake Charles Ironworkers Local. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fly ultralight airplanes.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammie Alexander and husband, Keith; brother, Thomas “Shooky” Meyers and wife, Lonnie; sisters, Emilie “Baby” Roux and Dorothy “Dot” Hawkins all of Sulphur; granddaughter, Lettie Goings and husband, Austin of Moss Bluff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald “Rompie” and Emilie Meyers; sisters, Marie Bollich and Theresa Davis.
His memorial service and rosary will be 6:00pm, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin Wednesday from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
