She was born on January 11, 1936, in Jackson, Mississippi, to James Blair Marble and Thelma Bazoon Marble. Ann spent most of her life in Terry, Mississippi, and Westlake, Louisiana, where she built a life centered on family, love, and service to others.
A devoted wife and mother, Ann dedicated herself to raising her family with care and compassion. She found joy in painting and arts and crafts, and she was known for her generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need. Her tireless kindness and creativity touched the lives of many.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sidney Simmons; her son, Terry Ray Simmons; and her siblings, Joyce Marble, Kenneth Marble, Bob Marble, Charlene Marble Halverson, Marion James Marble, and Sylvia Marble Sistrunk.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
With Ann’s passing, the Marble family has now lost their last surviving child. Comfort is found in the belief that they are reunited once more in eternal peace. Her life was a testament to faith, love, and the importance of family and friendship—treasures she held dear above all else.
