Cody proudly served in the Louisiana Army National Guard serving in Kuwait/Iraq and was recognized with the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, National Defense Service Medal, and the Combat Action Badge.
Cody was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mel Scott.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his father, Daniel McLemore and wife, Tamera of Ormond Beach, FL; his mother, Tracy Scott Hymel and husband, Todd of Mandeville, LA; brother, Cade McLemore and Gracie Meaux; sister, Danielle Park; brother, Nathan "Nate" McLemore; nephews, Kruze Lee Gross and Roman Phoenix Brown; grandparents, Fred and Joeann McLemore; grandmother, Wanda Scott; his uncle, Tim McLemore, his aunt, Chris McLemore; and aunts, Tammy Elizabeth Miller and husband, Keith; and Trudy Elaine Rivich; and his brother-in-law, Wansu Park; brothers in arms, Ben Shipp and Dave Smith; numerous cousins, other extended family; and many friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel. Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux will lead services. Cody's wishes were to be cremated.
