Dale Hayes Land

She was a native of Roanoke, Louisiana and had been a resident of Sulphur since 1958.

She is survived by her husband, John Land of Sulphur; her children, John Land, Jr. of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Dana Land Boutwell and husband Gary of Hammond, Louisiana; her siblings, Gordon Hayes and wife Nancy, Geraldine Landry and husband Sidney of Jennings, Carole Delahoussaye and husband Michael, and Nadine Carlson of Lafayette, and Diane Peloquin and husband Randy of St. Amant. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Oza Hayes; and brothers, James Russell "Rusty" and Rayford Hayes.

The family would like to thank her extraordinary caregivers, led by Catherine Holmes, and including Traveaus "TC" Guillory, Vicky Daigle, Charlotte Key, and Brandi Caesar. Special thanks to nurses Melinda Kellar and Joyce Fischer of Brighton Bridge Hospice.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 10, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. The Rev. Whitney Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
