

She was a native of Lafayette and had made her home in Sulphur for the past 67 years. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and was also active in the Sulphur Jaycee Jaynes.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, whom she cherished deeply. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her children, Janet Dowden of Carlyss, Dr. Myra Wise and husband, Larry of Sulphur, Ronald Clavier and wife, Rebecca of Sulphur, Darrell Clavier and wife, Stephanie of Sulphur, Vanessa Landry and husband, Dennis of Sulphur, and Tara Barnes and husband, Jason of Carlyss; her daughter-in-law, Michelle Clavier of Carlyss; siblings, Wilven Trahan and wife, Gloria of New Iberia, and Vivian Trahan Richard and husband, John Herbert Richard of Mire; eighteen grandchildren, Shane Dowden and wife, Bailey, Kelly McGee and husband, Ryan, Justin Dowden, Blaine Mosley and wife, Shauna, Allison Clavier and wife, Madeleine Clavier, Claire Mosley and wife, Kim, William Wise, Christian Wise, Amanda Clavier Babineaux and husband, Blaine, Amie Daigle and husband, Kane, Brittani Provost and husband, Nick, Mehgan Clavier and husband, Kevin Granger, Lane Clavier and wife, Lauren, Ty Clavier, Elizabeth Lasuzzo and husband, Michael, Mary Landry, Madison Barnes, and Lauren Barnes; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Slade Dowden, Kaitlyn Dawicki, Arwen Carroll, Paris Harper, Ridge Babineaux, Rigel Provost, Adara Provost, Emmett Clavier, Ethan Clavier, Madelyn Clavier, Margot Clavier, Carley Clavier, Zoey Lasuzzo, and Michael Lasuzzo, III.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Clavier; her parents, Raoul and Mary Trahan; her sons, Anthony Clavier, Jr. and Donald Raoul Clavier; her brother, Harry Trahan; her grandson, Aaron Anthony Clavier; her son-in-law, Ricky Dowden; and a grandson-in-law, Daniel Carroll.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Ron Foshage, M.S. will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Shane Dowden, Blaine Mosley, Justin Dowden, Lane Clavier, Ty Clavier, William Wise, and Christian Wise.
