

Delta was a native of Rayne and a resident of Sulphur for 63 years. She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Calcasieu Parish Schools. After retiring, she worked for the Cajun Fast Food Mart Deli, where she was well known for her fantastic breakfast sandwiches. She also managed and owned Domingue's Quail Farm and has shipped her pickled quail egg's to as far away as New York state. She loved gardening and sold her produce locally. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family and spending time with them. She was a faithful member of St Theresa's Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Wallace Domingue and 2 sons, Kenneth and Wilton Domingue.
She leaves behind her sons, Calvin Domingue and his wife, Faye, Terry Domingue; daughter Mary Peterson and her husband Lloyd, all of Carlyss; daughter Anna Nichols of Dover, Ohio; brother Preston Breaux of Rayne; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 11, in St Theresa Catholic Church. The Rev. Ernest Corriveau will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday with a rosary at 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8-10 a.m., all at the funeral home.
