

SULPHUR - Donald Ray Clement, age 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 7, 2017.
Donald was a deacon at Vincent Baptist Church and Southside Baptist Church since 1950. He served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Ocean theater. Donald was a man of God and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be missed greatly.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife of 71 years, Rita Mae Sarver Clement of Sulphur; daughter, Linda Sparks and husband, Bo of Many, La; son, Dwight Clement and wife, Cheri of Houston, Tx; son, Dale Clement and wife, Debbie of Sulphur; son, Dwayne Clement and wife, Stori of Sulphur; ten grandchildren, Brian, Robyn, Kory, Kellie, Kyle, Joshua, Crystal, Dane, Tucker, and Tate; brother, Robert Clement of New Iberia; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Darla Landry Lormand, and parents, Vollie Duff Clement and Ethel Golden Clement.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. P. Miles officiating. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and will resume at 9 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
