

She was a native of Ged and had been a resident of Sulphur for 65 years. Elgie was a 1946 graduate of Vinton High School and she was a member of Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church in Sulphur. She enjoyed working in her yard, going to garage sales, and shopping. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.
Survivors include her sons, Carl R. LeBrun and wife, Patsy, Stephen LeBrun, and Roger LeBrun and wife, Susan, all of Sulphur; her daughter, Carolyn LeBrun Thibodeaux and husband, Willis of Lafayette; nine grandsons, Carl R. LeBrun, II and wife, Donna, Lance LeBrun and wife, Kimberly, Charles Davis, Phillip Davis and wife, Kayleen, Shawn LeBrun, David Wayne LeBrun, Michael Hooper, Keilan LeBrun, and Alec LeBrun; and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Chuck" LeBrun; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann "Liz" LeBrun; her parents, Philp and Cora Duhon East; her grandparents, Desire and Azema Conner Duhon, and Camille and Azelie LeJeune Istre; her siblings, Henry East, Rena East, Bernice Burke, Margie Reynolds, Lorena Vice, and Mary LeJeune; half-brothers, Camille East and Whitney East; and granddaughters, Shannon Gail Davis and Morgan Victoria LeBrun.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 11, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss, Visitation is from 4-9 p.m.Saturday, with a Rosary at 6:30pm.The visitation will resume Sunday from 9 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home
