

Zu Zu was a Sulphur native and attended Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, where she taught Catechism. She was married to Kyle K. Stine, Jr. for 61 years. When she was a child she absolutely loved ginger snaps by the brand name Zu-Zu's, for which her family fondly named her. She was on a bowling league and a member of a bridge club. Zu Zu worked at Jon and Jer Rees in Sulphur for 17 years. She graduated from Sulphur High School in 1937. She loved her grandchildren and spent many loving moments with them and they loved her tremendously.
Survivors include her son, Kyle K. Stine, Jr. and his wife Armida, of Thibodaux, and daughter, Mary Ann Romero and her husband, Peter, of Lake Charles; 5 grandchildren, Simonne Gros, Elisse Stine, Kyle Stine, III, Ashley Romero and Matthew Romero; and 3 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kyle K. Stine, Sr.
The family would like to extend thanks to the nurses and staff of the Guardian House for the excellent care they gave.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m Monday, December 26, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Richard will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South, in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
