Irma Claire Sonier

Irma lived in Sulphur for 68 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sulphur. She was known for her cooking, baking and crocheting. She was a devoted and loving wife of Robert, a wonderful mother to her only child, Sheran Faye, loving grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheran Faye Sonier and her fiance Larry Bagwell, of Sulphur; sisters Patricia Smart of Houston, Tx, and Dana Rae Weaver, of Denham Springs; brother, Charles Jenkins, of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Dana Robert "Bob" Istre and wife Lisa, Tarah Faye Dorman and husband Greg, Sonia Claire Sumpter and husband Scott; and great grandchildren, Alex, Bryce and Hayden Sumpter.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Sonier.

Pallbearers will be Dana Robert Istre, Scott Sumpter, Greg Dorman and Larry Bagwell.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 11, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday

Interment will be next to her beloved husband Bob, together forever.
