Jackie Lavern "J.L." Musselwhite, Sr.

J.L. was a hard working man who never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a Christian and had a tremendous Faith in God. J.L. was known for his large vegetable garden which he shared with everyone he knew. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors. J.L. had a big sense of humor. He loved playing jokes and picking on the people who was closest to him. J.L. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be remembered forever.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Sue Bamburg Musselwhite, wife, Carolyn Buxton Musselwhite, great-grandson, Louis Ledet, parents, Thomas "Jeff" and Irella Musselwhite, brother, Thomas Elvin "Dinky" Musselwhite, brother, Thomas Jefferson "J.R." Musselwhite, sister, Reba Faye Musselwhite Hill, sister, Mildred Sue Musselwhite Nolen, and sister, Julia Vonceil Musselwhite Martin.

Those left to cherish his memory are a son, Jackie Lavern Musselwhite, Jr. and wife, Sharlet; daughter, Loretta Lynn Musselwhite; daughter, Jennifer Musselwhite; daughter, Malissa White and husband, Rusty; grandchildren, Travis McDonald and wife, Lacey, Amanda Ledet and husband, Lloyd, Justin Musselwhite, Nicholas Musselwhite, Ruby Cheyenne Herrera, Brandon White, Zachariah Perkins, Destini White, and Jacqlynn Musselwhite; great-grandchildren, T.J., Chris, Conor; mother-in-law, Ruby Bamburg; sisters-in-law, Peggy Hawrylak and husband, Bill, Elaine Stanley and husband, Clifford, Rowena Strother and husband, Charles, Mary Nolen and husband, Jerry, Tomi Powers, and Toni Twigg and husband, Bruce; brothers-in-law, William "Bill" Bamburg and Larry Bamburg and wife, Dee Ann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at noon on Friday at Six Mile Pentecostal Church in Pitkin until time of service on Saturday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Rev. L.E. Robertson will officiate. Burial will follow in Blue Branch Cemetery in Pitkin.
