James Lathan (JT) has been a close, family friend, through thick and thin, for more than 50 years. I have always known him to treat other people the way he, himself, wanted to be treated. He was a happy person and most often had a big smile on his face. I ask you Almighty Father, eternal God, to hear our prayers for JT, whom you have called suddenly from this life to Yourself. Please grant him light, happiness and peace. Please guide him safely through death's gate into Heaven and give him eternal life in Your kingdom.

Family Reunions in Houston or at the Chapmans' in Spurger, Tx, Speeby, Walter, David & Lynn on the porch making great music with their band, fun games, good food, fellowship & laughter.
I remember Speeby & Walter at our Chapman camp house with the campfire blazing & hearing a panther scream. Exciting times!
I remember us all staying at a beach cabin, getting the car stuck in hot sand, all of us barefooted & trying to push it out. I remember Mother & Aunt Mauriel chasing fiddler crabs with a crab net in the moonlight. We all laughed & laughed.
I remember how excited & honored I was to be a Bridesmaid in Spebe & Joan's wedding.

I have all good memories of Speeby, and forever in my heart.

Love and prayers for Joan, Kim, Jimmy & Buddy, and all of the family.

Joan, Kim, Jimmy, & Buddy. I am absolutely broken hearted on the passing of Speeby. We did everything together as kids growing up together. I am pleased that he died a Christian. I know that he is with our Lord.
