

She was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur and graduate of Sulphur High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church. Jody enjoyed being around people, especially babies, and loved playing bingo and dancing. She often participated with the Special Olympics.
Survivors include her siblings, Clarence Joseph "Joe" Chesson, Theresa Marie Moss and husband, Ken, whom were her main caregivers, and Pamela Denise Blum and husband, John, all of Sulphur; five nieces, Brandi Primeaux, Candice Blum, Sarah Walker, Becky Miller and Jennifer Licght; two great-nieces, Kayla Miller and Finley Walker; and two great-nephews, Kaleb Primeaux and Joseph Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Chesson and Norma Jean Broussard Chesson; and a sister, Kelly Jean Chesson.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 12, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary at _ p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday in the funeral home.
