Johnny "Bert" Bertrand

Johnny was a lifetime resident of Sulphur. He enjoyed fishing, caring for his dogs, especially the strays, and watching westerns. He is survived by his wife, Brenda L. Bertrand of Carlyss; six children, Johnny Louis Bertrand of Alexandria, Aaron Spoon and wife Merline of Sulphur, Sabrina Clark and husband Ted of Carlyss, Sharanda Arabie, Raymond Arabie and Willie Lee Monceaux, Jr. all of Sulphur; one brother, Charles Larry Bertrand and finace’ Belinda of Sulphur; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rita B. Henry Bertrand; four brothers, Louis Bertrand, J. P. Bertrand, Edmon Bertrand and Garland Bertrand; one sister, Lorita Gail.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 16 at 10 a.m. in Saint Theresa Catholic Church of Carlyss with Father Luke Krzanowski, MS. officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, January 15 from 2 – 9 p.m. in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel and continue Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service. There will be a rosary at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
