Joey was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Denton Bird and a sister, Julie Bird.
Survivors include his mother, Mary "Pat" Bird; children, Amber Bird Williams, John Bird (Erin), Emily Gallegos (Dustin), Eddie Bird, Brett Bird (Sydney), Jessica Bird, and Melissa Bird; 12 grandchildren and 1 on the way; love of his life, Gayla Bird; siblings, Denny Bird (Danette), Denise Hooper, Deborah Heath (Greg), John Bird, Steven Bird (Shay), Kyle, Eric, Beth, Cody, Coy, Kaydee Bouse (Charlie), Matthew, and Sydney Bird; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joey's wishes were to be cremated and cremation was entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
