She was a native of Vinton and had been a resident of Loreauville for over 35 years. Letha was a faithful member of Loreauville Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her brother, Vernon Ritter and wife, Bobbie of DeQuincy; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Moore; her five children, Billy Moore, Sydney "Joey" Moore, Gilbert "Bubba" Moore, Tommy Moore, and Karen Moore Scroggs and husband, Larry; one brother, Percy "Son" Ritter; and a granddaughter, Wanda Moore.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Josh Bigwoods officiated. Pallbearers were great-grandsons, Zachary David, Trace David, Luke David, Tanner Moore, Jacob Moore, Nicholas Bahnsen, Stefan Trosclair, Casey Trosclair, and Kyle Patterson. Burial was in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
