She was a native of Baton Rouge and had been a resident of Sulphur for nearly 80 years. She was a charter member of Maplewood First Baptist Church where she was very active volunteering in many capacities. She was a Sunday School teacher, helped with the Sunday School records for over 50 years, Children's Ministry, and helped with secretarial work and running the kitchen where she helped prepare meals for over 20 years. Lillian enjoyed sewing, painting, fishing, and traveling, especially with her husband visiting Colorado in the summertime.
Survivors include her sons, Lloyd Sullivan and wife, Janice of Sulphur and Lynn Sullivan and wife, Peggie of Carlyss; her siblings, J.T. Stiles, Jr. of Greensburg, Anna Mae Meadows of Annandale, Virginia, and Grace Morris of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Shawn Sullivan, Matthew Sullivan, and Monica Lopez Ratcliff; eight great-grandchildren, Cody Sullivan, Kayla Sullivan, Melissa Sullivan, Amanda Sullivan, Ryan Sullivan, Ariel Jorgensen, Aidan Lopez, and Ashley Steenkamp; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Sullivan; and a sister, Rosalie Lavigne.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Blocker will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Aidan Lopez, Shawn Sullivan, Matthew Sullivan, David Ratcliff, Lloyd Sullivan, and Lynn Sullivan.
