

Lise was a native of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and had lived in Sulphur for 30 years. She enjoyed exploring other countries but always spent her summers at the family cottage in Canada to escape the Louisiana heat. She was a marathon runner and a member of the Lake Area Runners. She completed over 30 marathons in her lifetime, including three Boston Marathons and also ran marathons on all seven continents, including the Antarctic. She enjoyed landscaping, creating an oasis around her home, and was an avid animal lover. Lise was a gourmet cook who loved preparing meals for her family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lynn of Sulphur; one son, Donavan Strutt and wife, Adriana of Pearland, Texas; her siblings, Paulette Ladue and husband, Jimmy, and Andre' Lajoie, all of Quebec, Canada; two nieces, Mara and Kristen Lajoie; two grandchildren, Olivia and Natalia Strutt; and her brother and sister-in-law, Louis Lynn and Jane Lynn Stine. She is preceded in death by her sister, Hélène Lajoie, other family members and loved ones.
A Celebration of Lise's Life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home, led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant. The family will receive friends beginning at noon on Tuesday. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
