Margie Nell Ray

Margie was a bartender at The Corner Bar in Carlyss for many years. She worked as an electrician in local industry, but the "job" she loved the most was caring for her grandchildren. She was a hard worker with an outgoing personality and could be very stern when needed.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Brandy Ray and Jessica Ramos; four grandchildren, Shelby Ramos, Arturo Ramos, Alex Cavazos, and Eli Ray; sister, Beverly Ray Mott; brothers, Petie Lejeune and Roger Ray; step-brother, Bobby Trahan, and niece Shelly Mott O'Quain; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by mother, Barbara Deville Lejeune, stepfather, Elton Lejeune; father, John Elton Ray; two brothers, John Ray and Glen Ray and son-in-law, Diego Ramos.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Deacon Patrick LaPoint will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 11am - 9pm with a Cursillo Rosary at 7pm and resume Wednesday, 9am - 2pm. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
