She was born in Faith, SD, then her family moved to the Cottage Grove, Eugene, Oregon area when she was a child. She died and was born again on January 4, 1972 at the Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse Church (Lighthouse Tabernacle) in Bayou d'Inde under Pastor M.D. Burnett.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, son, Joel M. Tower, father, Raymond H. Kapp, mother, Loretta Pooley Kapp, sisters, Janice Brant and Helen Reisig.
Survivors include her husband, Duane Tower, daughters, Alece Lafleur (Paul) of Ragley and Julie Key (James) of Katy, TX; four grandsons, Cody, Trevor, Seth, and J.J.; sisters, Irene "Tyke" Stephens of Idaho, Loretta Jones (Ron), Nancy Seeley (Matt), Linda Martin (Marvin), a brother, Raymond D. Kapp all of Oregon, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
