Mary was a native of Sulphur and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She Volunteered for Rest Care. She was a very good person who helped everyone she could. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Russell W. Sonnier; daughter, Glende M. Stevens and her husband Curtis; sister, Ella Mae Koesema, and Barbara Ann Pitre; grandchildren, Alvin Stevens, and Tammy Stevens; great grandchildren Dominic Stevens, Kade Stevens, Galvin Stevens and Ethan Hicks; and 10 step-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Sonnier; mother, Olita Nolan, father, Elvin Nolan, and brother, Raymond Nolan.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 5, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from Noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
