Mike was preceded in death by his father, Francis Delma Danos; his mother, Wilma Katherine Danos; his brother, Francis Donald Danos; and his sister, Judy Ann Danos all of Sulphur.
Mike was an art and photography teacher at Sulphur High School for 48 years. He was also an award winning yearbook sponsor for many years. As a proud 1966 SHS graduate, Michael helped spearhead the 100th anniversary celebration of the school in 2013. He painted SHS spirit windows at local businesses for 40 years.
Mike will be remembered by his family and friends for his artistic talent, elaborate dinner parties, Christmas trees and decor, love of classic movies, boundless energy, and incredible sense of humor.
Mike would like to say a special thank you to all medical staff and caregivers for the care and love shown to him.
In lieu of flowers, Mike requested that memorials be made to the Sulphur High School Art Department.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines, Carlyss, under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
