Born February 17, 1926 in Trexlertown, PA, she was the daughter of Paul Heil and Edith Walbert. Mrs. Hebert attended Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA, receiving a B.S. degree in Elementary Education in 1946. She married Edward John Hebert and moved to Maplewood, LA in 1946 and Sulphur, LA in 1950. She was an educator in the Calcasieu Parish School District until her retirement in 1973. After retirement, she became a devoted member of the Celebration Worship Center in Sulphur.
Mrs. Hebert was predeceased by her husband, Edward John Hebert. She is survived by her two children, Sondra Hebert Berger, of Columbia, SC and William Edward Hebert, of Houston, Texas.
Her funeral service will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 10:00a.m at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Kevin Williams will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, 2pm to 7pm and resume Wednesday at 8 a.m. until time of service. Entombment will follow Roselawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Sulphur under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
