Robert J Carroll

Robert was a native of Sulphur and a longtime member of Life Church in Sulphur. He retired from Citgo as an Inspector, was a member of the American Welding Society, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers along with several others. Bob was a member of Team Citgo for many years and was a past board member. He was very passionate about being involved on Team Citgo, and helping the community. Bob also was a volunteer coach for Spar for over twenty-five years. He was a lunch buddy, and Big Brother for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Queeda Carroll, and brother, Tim Carroll.

Survivors include his wife, Lenore Carroll; three sons, Chad Carroll and wife, Monica, Craig Carroll and fiance’, Andrea, and Chris Carroll and wife, Alexa; ten grandchildren, Aric, Bailey, Ava, Natalie, Isaiah, Dallas, Jacob, Ian, Julia, Alessandro; one great-grandchild on the way; mother-in-law, Jackie Mead; two brothers, Bubba Carroll and wife, Autumn, and Rick Carroll and wife, Jan; a sister, Susan Taylor; sister-in-laws, Laura Miller and Arlene Carroll; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Life Church in Sulphur under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Francis Ousley will officiate services. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake Charles. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and will resume at 9 a.m Saturday morning at the church.
