

Rope was a nickname he had from when he was a young boy, it was said that he would try to do rope tricks like a famous cowboy that had came to the area and he always had a rope in his hand. He was a truck driver by trade and worked for Bruce Inc. for 17 years before retiring. He loved to hunt and spend time with his family and friends. He was a member of McArthur Heights Baptist Church in Orange, TX. Rope was a loving husband, daddy, and paw. He will truly be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Wanda Trahan of Orange, TX; two children, Cheryl Ann Cionek and husband, Chris Sr. of Lumberton, TX; and Robert Joseph Trahan of Deweyville, TX; four grandchildren, Joseph MacKinnon, Christopher Cionek, Jr, Robert J. Trahan, Jr, and Tori Cionek; two great-grandchildren, Morgan MacKinnon, and Madison MacKinnon; two sisters, Beverly Trahan Callis of Bell City; and Delores Trahan Taylor of Kalamazoo, MI; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by his twin sons, Robert Lee and Bobby Lee Trahan, parents, Howard Joseph and Lucella Trahan, and a brother, Howard Joseph Trahan, Jr.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at McArthur Heights Baptist Church in Orange, TX. Brother Jay Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the church.
