I am so sorry that Uncle Virgil left us.  I just saw it this morning on Facebook (I don't go on very often.)  I will always remember his giggle which was so infectious, just like Grandma's and Agnes'

I will always remember better days, when the summer time trips of the Lappes, would bring them to Gramp's place, and we would get to play for hours with cousins from all the families. The loss of all the aunts, and uncles have been added to by the loss of Virgil. I'm glad he followed Christ, as he is home now. He is not sad at all there, but we are sad here, and miss him. Bill

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss.  I will always remember him and his constant teasing of my rosy red cheeks.  He always made me/us feel like we were almost as important as his children growing up.  Mom and dad will enjoy his company up there in heaven until we all meet up again. A chapter has closed in a family history with your passing, but your story continues through your family.    To my cousins, Duane, Dean, Jerry, Kathy, Ruth, Annette; and their families, my sympathies to you all.  I know the feeling of when a great person goes on without us.

I will remember a man who smiled and loved readily. Who open his home and heart. I have sweet memories of family times. My heart goes out to you,Lois,and all your family.

Virgil was another in a long line of story tellers.  I always loved that as a kid.  And as a young adult (when I was old enough to kid back and forth with him), I would see the smile in his eyes and would know something was coming my way, even before the smile or laugh would be on his face.  I'm thinking of some of those times now.

I count it a great blessing to have gotten to know Mr. Lappe and his family here in Sulphur.   We will miss his smiling face.

Virgil was a great man, I spent many hours with him working on Gilbertson farms.  My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family at this time of great sadness.

What a good man with such an amazingly quick sense of humor.  I will always remember the summer I spent in Minnesota, and especially "attempting" to cook pies at Crabtree's Kitchen! Uncle Virgil had such a tender spirit.   Keeping you guys in my thoughts and prayers.

 Sorry for your loss Dean Lappe! He is in a better place and in no more pain and suffering! I know that doesnt help much right now, but it will with time! You will always miss them! Just remember the good times, it really helps! Dad has been in heaven since 96 and mom since 03 and theres not a day I dont think about them, but I know they are always watching over me! Prayers for you and all your family! If you need anything or there is anything I can do, please dont hesitate to let me know, I will be there in a heartbeat!

Though we are not related by blood Pop, you loved me and treated me as one of your own sons. Until we meet again in our new home in heaven.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Lappe. He was a joy to be around & always gave me good hugs. He will be missed but heavens choir has welcomed a new member. Praying for all of you. I count it a joy to have known him.
