Walter loved to dance, draw and ride bicycles, but most of all he loved his family. He was a graduate of Westlake High School in 1951 and was a United States Air Force Veteran. He also was an industrial painter and belonged to the local painters union.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Lou Darbonne of Sulphur; children, Angela Kibodeaux of Sulphur, Becky McKean and husband, Pete of Weatherford, TX, Robert Kibodeaux of Lake Charles, Debra Vaughan and husband, Ronald of Carlyss, Heather Kibodeaux and Sandra Kibodeaux both of Sulphur; brothers, Richard Kibodeaux, Earl Kibodeaux and Gerald Kibodeaux; sister, Earline Boudreaux; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Cora Benoit Kibodeaux; children, Michael Kibodeaux and Janie Adams; grandchildren, Cassandra Adams and Damien LeDoux; siblings, Merline and Perry Kibodeaux.
To honor the life of Mr. Kibodeaux the family will meet at Wayne and Layne's, 3906 Highway 27 S, at their weekly Cajun Dance, Sunday, April 17, 2016, 3pm - 7pm. Put your dancing shoes on and come dance one for Walter. Jody Barrilleaux will be the celebrant.
