Bill graduated from Westlake High School but lived in Sulphur for the last 50 years. He retired in 1999 from PPG Industries after over 32 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, LSU sports and traveling. Bill was a lifelong member of Temple Sinai in Lake Charles and a long-time member of the Maplewood-Hollywood Lions Club and the Lake Charles Wood Workers Club.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Pearl and Florian Levy; his brother, Jim Levy and his grandson, Tyler Dilyard.
Bill is survived by the love of his life, his loving wife of 32 years, Norma Levy. Bill also leaves behind two stepchildren, Michelle Nell (Bob) and Craig Pousson (Bobbye); grandchildren, Trent Dilyard, Carter Nell and Ethan Pousson; along with 5 great-grands, nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends, especially his adoptive family The Dever Eight. He was the ninth.
A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at 4pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home under the direction of Rabbi Samuel Rheins.
