Willis Hayward Johnson

He was a native of Carriere, Mississippi and had lived in Sulphur since 1962. He was employed as a Security Guard at Hercules for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife Sarah Adams Johnson of Sulphur; two sons, Donald Ray Johnson and Richard “Ricky” Johnson both of Sulphur; five daughters, Barbara Lynn Trauth, Carolyn Ann Benoit, Bridgett Diane Chapman, Delana Gail Odom and Lori Beth LaFauci all of Sulphur; one brother, Ivan Johnson of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Agnes Johnson of Carrier, Mississippi and Vivian McClelland of Houston, Texas; 21 grandchildren , 17 great grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Ollie Johnson, one son, Larry Johnson and one daughter, Deborah Gail Johnson.

His funeral will be at 2 pm Friday, February 7, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel. Brother Ron Sherer will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 8 am Friday until time of the service.
