Dale was born in Duluth, Minnesota on June 26th, 1937 to Grant and Elsie Fjone. Growing up he enjoyed sports, especially playing baseball, bowling and hockey.
In 1955, Dale graduated from Denfeld High School, soon after joined the United States Army. In 1961, while stationed at Fort Lewis, he met and married Lois Sholin. They returned to Duluth where, after an honorable discharge from the Army, Dale became a police officer, and Lois worked as an LPN. They had 3 children; Teri, Diane and Michael. In August 1974, Dale moved his family to Milton, Washington, where he began working as a crane operator. Over his career he worked for Crane Rentals, Ness Crane, Gresham Transfer and Joe Hall Construction.
Dale was an avid sports enthusiast and lived vicariously through his grandkids; they were the light of his life. He was always there for them without fail. He was a man of few words with a heart a mile wide. His family was his life and he was definitely their rock. He will be dearly missed by all.
