Dorene Cleo Olsen

Dorene Cleo (Blancas) Olsen October 18, 1943 - September 15, 2014 Dorene lived a blessed 70 years. Being raised on a farm in Firwood, Washington, she became the essence of hard work. Dorene, true to her Filipino roots, was a person that held family in the closest and deepest pocket of her heart. She married Ken P. Olsen, Jr., her husband of 52 years, on February 22, 1962, and would bless the world with three wonderful sons, Ken Olsen III, Todd Olsen, and Bryan Olsen. After all, she was a boys' mom - feisty and strong. If you ever caught Dorene sitting still, it was a miracle. Constantly she would hum around keeping up with her eight grandchildren, gardening, sewing, and keeping the family in line! For many, she was more than a wife, a mother, and a grandmother; she was a rock. Dorene has been and always will be the heart and soul of the Olsen family!
