Jay Clarke Martin passed suddenly on November 7,2016 at age 59. Jay worked at Krazan and Associates for many years as an engineering technician, project manager and most recently as Corporate Marketing Director. He grew up in Michigan, moved to Arizona and married, raised two boys in Spokane, and eventually settled in the Sumner/Bonney Lake area. He participated in the annual STP (Seattle to Portland) bike race for several years before injuring his knee in the 2015 race. He also hiked to Camp Muir on Mt. Rainier with one of his good friends.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Christine, and his two sons, Jay Jr. and Jerry. He is also survived by his mother and three sisters.
Graveside service will be on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Sumner City Cemetery. If you would like to honor Jay's life, in lieu of flowers, please donate directly to the Cascade Bicycle Club.
