Mark Robert Bowers, born October 8th, 1965 to Reverend Robert and Marlene Bowers in Silverton, Oregon, moved to Heaven on August 7th, 2016. Mark attended Salem Academy Christian School. He received his Bachelors of Computer Science with a Minor in Robotics at ITT Technical Institute in Portland, Oregon. He married Janette Marie Brunoff on July 7th, 2007, and gained a daughter, Emma Christine, who he adored. Mark worked for Boeing 28 years, and was a Senior Staff Analyst.
Mark’s favorite saying was, “Eight in the gate, family comes first.” Meaning he would put in eight hours of work, then concentrate on his family. Although Mark was a very loyal and hard worker for Boeing, he always put family above work. There’s no question that marrying Janette gave him the opportunity to love a wife deeply and become the father he dreamed of being—oh, how Mark loved Emma! He treasured his family, his in-laws, and friends. He spent time on what made them happy—horses, camping, cooking, and Friday night pizza. Man, could Mark cook!
As a jokester, Mark thought he was really funny. Fortunately, his family and friends agreed. He could be described as life-of-the-party. He was a perfectionist and would say that everything had its place. He was always willing to help anyone, and could do almost anything as a handyman.
Janette’s father, David, was Mark’s best friend, and Mark thought of her family as his own. They were very close.
Mark loved the Lord and recently told his brother, Dan, he was at peace because knew where he was going—Heaven with God. In the last year and a half, he grew in Christ at the Calvary Community Church in Sumner, Washington. His Celebration of Life Service will be held there on August 25th, 2016 at 2:00pm. The address for Calvary Community Church is 15116 Gary Street E. Sumner, WA. Donations can be made in his memory to The Wishing Well Foundation, 16524 89th Ave E Puyallup WA
Mark is survived by his wife, Janette, daughter Emma, his parents, Robert and Marlene Bowers, his brothers, Dave and Dan Bowers, 5 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. The holes in hearts are huge. He will be deeply missed until we join him in Heaven.
