Albert H Bruns Jr.

A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday Oct. 20th at 2:00 P.M. at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Dell Web Blvd., Sun City, AZ.

Mr. Bruns served his country during World War II receiving the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star . He was a member of the American Legion and Purple Heart in Steger IL as well as Loyal Order of The Moose. He was the founder and principal owner of Bruns & Salvatore Upholstering Company in South Chicago Heights, IL for more than 30 years.

Albert was born on Oct. 12, 1918 in rural Richton Park, IL, son of Albert Henry and Carrie Franz Bruns. He married Leona R. Klein on November 3, 1945.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Helen Marrs and Beatrice Koelling White of Chicago Heights, IL.

Beloved brother of Joyce Polka, Homewood, IL and loving father of sons James A. (Penny) Bruns, Sun City, and Ronald A. (Cindy) Bruns, Addison, IL and daughters Linda L. Bross Utley, Bloomington, IL, Christine E. Peters and Patricia R. Bruns, San Jose, CA. Dear grandfather of Stephen (Jill) Bruns, Kristen Bruns (Ryan ) Solum, Amy Bruns, Joseph (Karen) Bross, Scott (Megan) Bross, and Katelyn Peters. Dear great grandfather to Ben, Sophie, and Rachael Bross, Jack and Luke Solum, Jenavieve Bruns, Branden and Lauren Bross.

Mr. Bruns was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite teams through the years. He golfed, bowled and loved to play cards with family and friends. His family was very important to him and he will be greatly missed by all.
