Andrew Alexander McVeigh, Sr. age 89 of Sun City West Arizona, passed away peacefully October 16, 2011, at home with his wife by his side. He was born in Chicago Illinois October 26, 1921, to Elizabeth and Alexander McVeigh who had immigrated to the U.S. from Carnlough, Ireland in 1919. Andrew graduated from Parker High School. He was drafted in 1942 serving in the Army Air Corp. until his honorable discharge in1946. Returning to Chicago he married his childhood sweetheart, Evelyn. He graduated from Northwestern University and worked for Armour Foods for 35 years and Swift Foods for 8 years. Andrew is survived by his loving and devoted wife Evelyn of 65 years, daughter Elizabeth Snow, two sons Andrew Jr. and William, and two granddaughters, Laura and Rachael Snow.
Services will be Saturday October 22, 2011 at 11:00 am at Shepherd of the Hills Methodist Church, Sun City West, AZ
