Ben E Mclaughlin

Ben Edward McLaughlin, loving husband and father, passed away on August 31, 2011 after struggling from a stroke. Ben was born on June 16, 1926 to Benjamin Frank and Freida Losle McLaughlin in Anoka, Minnesota. Ben graduated from Anoka High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving for 2 years and received an honorable discharge. After his discharge he worked in construction doing lathing. He later formed his own lathing company and was very successful.

Ben met Jean LaJeunesse and they were married on June 20, 1952. They were married for 59 years and had three children.

Ben is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters, Michael Timothy (Jennifer), Chandler, Arizona; Linda Jean McLaughlin, Peoria, Arizona and Karen Diane Zobava (Bill), Peoria, Arizona. He is also survived by his five grandchildren; Melissa McLaughlin, Ryan McLaughlin, Katie McLaughlin, Mara Zobava and Andrew Zobava. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Jack Dwane McLaughlin.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday September 4, 2011 at one o’clock at the Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, Arizona with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Sunland Cemetery.
