I was Betty’s caregiver for 4 years when she was living at Plymouth Village.  My favorite memories of Betty are when the holidays came around. We have matching 4 leaf clover  pins crocheted at Plymouth village for St. Paddy’s day.  I dressed her up for every holiday and there was a special outfit for each holiday.  Betty’s favorite was her Christmas outfit with her drummer boy necklace and bell earrings. She loved the cream blouse with her Xmas vest. Bettys pants had to be an exact color match. We attended Christmas party’s at the Comfort Keepers office in Redlands every year.  I spent every holiday with her for 4 years. We had a great time on thanksgiving at the Plymouth dining room party. Betty enjoyed parties. Betty was a very thoughtful and generous person. Betty was a beautiful soul . Everyone loved her. Betty loved her family,, she talked about her beautiful nieces and nephews often.  Hi girls! Betty never wanted you to leave when you visited. I do remember her doing everything in her power to get you to stay.  I remember Betty’s love for her best friend Hiroko.  A very sweet friend.  Betty saved magazines for her other dear friend Ray. We would see them often.  Betty loved Plymouth Village and all her friends there . Betty was loved and will be missed dearly.  I love you and miss you my sweet friend. Rest In Peace my dear friend. ❤️🌹💕

My Aunt Betty was definitely a one of a kind. She was very caring and thoughtful. I remember her saving her teacher "dittos" (you know the purple ones) for me to use in my classroom. I didn't have the heart to tell her that everything is practically online, and we don't use those anymore. So I took them, and she had a huge smile on her facing thinking that I was going use them with my students. 
 I remember one time the kids and I drove to Plymouth Village to surprise her, and she was so shocked that it took her a good 5 minutes to speak.  I actually got a little worried cos she was so speechless.  

When she moved to Arizona, I would go visit her almost every Sunday.  Nino was her caretaker, and she loved him. She was always quite witty and sometimes sassy.  I 'll never  forget her love of birds, flowers, and oatmeal cookies (from Panera).

Aunt Betty was one of kind. She was sweet, smart, and just a touch sassy. I have many fond memories of her. I think my favorite and more recent memory of her was when my sister, Megan, and I went to visit her at Plymouth Village. We were on our way to volunteer for the week at Camp Ronald McDonald For Good Times in Idyllwild, so we decided to stop to have lunch with her on our way. For such a small little lady, she had quite a big appetite. She ordered about 6 plates of food (not including dessert!), and to our surprise, she ate every last bite over the course of our 3 hour lunch. During that time, she introduced us to just about everyone in the dining hall. It was clear that she was well known and loved in the community. She also loved having visitors, which was made evident when she tried to get out of her required afternoon physical therapy and distract us with a tour of the facility so that we wouldn't leave. Classic Betty! We shared many stories, memories, and laughs during our time together. My sister and I always have a big smile on our face whenever we think of this memory of her. I will miss her dearly. 

In July 2016, my sister Kaitlyn and I came to visit you and you took us to your dining hall for about 3 hours to introduce us to your friends through a microphone and told them what we did for a living. You then walked us around your community and we met your caregiver, Tina! I will miss you Aunt Betty! Enjoy heaven with grandma

Betty was my mother's sister. She was an important and steady presence in my life. There is little doubt that she and my mother are in heaven now. As kids, we used to dislike having to wash our hands before looking at her many books. Of course, we understand now. She was kind, caring and became really funny late in her life. In truth, I wasn't her favorite, but she still treated me well. Lucky for me, she loved my wife Sandy. This came in handy when we moved her from San Bernardino to Phoenix.  One of the many memories I have is all the trips to visit her in Riverside. Sitting in the very back of the station wagon enduring what seemed like days. One thing we did share was a love of birds. I still have and look at the book on birds she gifted me. I'm going to miss my sweet Aunt.

Betty was such a special person. I first met her when she lived in Santa Fe
 She knew my mother who was the nurse at the deaf school . We then met again at CSDR in Riverside. 
So sorry for the loss of a special person.
