

Bill Ambers Freeman went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2026. Bill was born in Wirt, Oklahoma on February 6, 1931. He was preceded in death by his parents; William and Lois Freeman (Kimberlin), sister Wilma McFatridge, wives JoAnne Kiernan (Freeman-Jones) Deloris Freeman (Klitzke) and daughter Deborah Weber. He is survived by his wife Brenda Freeman, sister Helen Hessom, brother Vincent Freeman, daughters and spouses; Sonya and Gilbert Hagood, Shirley and Ed Arrowood, Marcia and Jack Schneider, Janet and Hermann (Coors) Kugeler, son William Freeman and Connie Clites, stepsons; Larry Proctor, and Robert and Suzanne Proctor. He was also a proud grandfather and great grandfather to many children.
Bill grew up in the oilfields of Oklahoma during the depression where his father William worked. He received a football scholarship at Southeastern Oklahoma. In 1952 he joined the U.S. Air Force and was sent to serve in the Korean War. He flew on B52 bombers as a radio technician and telemetry expert. He spent many years flying important missions around the globe for his country. Retiring from the Air Force after 21 years Bill worked for Rockwell International and Lockheed Martin in Colorado. In 1993 he moved with Dee to Sun City, AZ.
Bill was a faithful and beloved member of the First Baptist Church of Sun City West for many years serving as a deacon for a term and had the responsibility of recording and refining the weekly Sunday service and special performances. He had a beautiful voice and was a faithful choir member.
Bill mastered the art of stained glass and restoring carousel horses in his spare time. There are many recipients of his beautiful work. He will be missed on this earth and remembered for his faith in God, kindness, and willingness to help anyone in need.
