Daniel Robert Webster II, known to family and friends as Bob, passed away on May 5, 2022 in Peoria, Arizona just five days after celebrating his 87th birthday with his family. Bob was born on April 30, 1935 in Provo, UT to Fon Taylor and Daniel Robert Webster. He was the oldest of four children and grew up in Utah, graduating from East High School in Salt Lake City. He met the love of his life, Mary Alice Fisher, at the home of a mutual friend while stationed in Florida. They were married on January 29, 1957. His time in the Air Force, from 1955-1959, included a tour of duty in Korea. After serving in the military, Bob worked as a computer programmer. In the early days of his career, one computer filled an entire building and he was constantly amazed at the advances in technology he was able to witness during his lifetime. Bob had a long and interesting career, including working in the Pentagon on the Cruise Missile. He loved learning and was fascinated by space, history and aeronautics. He was an avid sports fan, with the Padres, BYU and the Chargers among his favorite teams. His family has wonderful memories of him teaching them to play chess, creating beautiful quilts, reading them his most loved fantasy novels, sharing his favorite ice cream, telling the best “dad” jokes and always being their biggest fan. Bob was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed serving others throughout his life. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary, his son Kevin and his son-in law Doug Krueger, as well as his brother Paul and his sister Jan. He is survived by his children Tami (Duane) Francis, Kristy Krueger, Allison (Kelly) Barclay, daughter-in-law Melanee Webster and sister Joan Allred, along with his 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Bob will be interred in the Provo City Cemetery and his family will be holding a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in his memory.
