After serving in the US Navy during WWII, he married Adel Hasson in 1946. Golfing, bowling, and cooking were his favorite pastimes after retiring from ALCOA in 1982.
Surviving him are two daughters, Darlene, Charlene and their spouses. Also surviving are four grandchildren and spouses, Craig, Jarrod, Elijah, and Marissa.
