Connie Kramer passed peacefully on March 20th while being hospitalized for pneumonia. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe. They were married 70 years and she showed us the value of a strong marriage.
She is survived by her two children Karen Borchers (Dan) and David (Jolene) and her four grandchildren Steven, Jim, David Borchers, and Amanda Jones (Scott).
She was born and raised in Findlay, Ohio. She earned a teaching degree from Wittenberg University and instilled in us the value of a good education. She also enjoyed being a member of the Chi Omega sorority.
She was brilliant and analytical but decided to be a stay-at-home mom for her children. She was always there when they needed her.
She was a very accomplished competitor in Contract Bridge. She earned the elite title of Silver Life Master by winning hundreds of major tournaments.
She was also a master with puzzles, and she beat us regularly at “Words With Friends”. She learned how to use a computer at 70 and always loved her iPhone.
We will always remember her for being a strong, steady, thoughtful, and dependable person. She had a real eye for decorating and fashion. She always knew what clothes to buy for us. Now we will have to do it somehow without her help.
Connie and Joe moved from Dayton Ohio to Litchfield Park, AZ in 2013.
A brief graveside service will be held at the Sunland Garden of Valor on Thursday, March 28 at 10AM (15826 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351). A celebration of life service will be held later the same day at 2:30PM at the La Loma Grace Center (14260 S Denny Blvd, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340).
