David began his love of the ocean while serving in the Navy. His biggest smiles were when he and his wife, Toy Anne, would sail their boat in the San Diego Bay and later in Lake Pleasant whenever there was enough wind, which was infrequent. But it didn’t matter he was on his boat listening to Jimmy Buffett.
David was known to his family as the Energizer Bunny because no matter what physical ailments came his way he would bounce back. David always kept a positive attitude and kept moving forward, never backward.
