a Beautiful lady in and out  i remember her baked sweet potatoes and how she loved all children  Sure do miss her

Florence was the Godmother of my 2 brothers, Russ and Brian Salzman.  She and Jim called me their Goddaughter, as well.  She and I talked every year at Christmas time. This Christmas a lot of health issues with family members and a death occurred in the family and I didn't make my usual call. I tried calling her today and her usual message didn't come up on the phone and I had a sneaking suspicion she may have passed, so I started searching on the internet. It was disheartening to find this was so.  I enjoyed her enthusiasm and "joie de vivre!"  I have never met a more confident, loving, positive, free spirit as Florence.  She was an angel and a joy to be around.  As I am from the midwest, I thoroughly loved listening to Florence and Jim converse with their eastern accents!  God has brought them together again.  Love you, both!  Until we meet again!

This planet was graced by the presence of Florence for 104 years. Her charm and wit will truly be missed by those she left behind. Her love of life, and faith in the Lord were a lesson for all of us. May she rest in peace. She took a piece of my heart  when she left, but filled that void with loving memories. I will cherish her love and compassion forever. Godspeed dear Florence, and may angels sing thee to thy rest.



Florence will be missed by my family My   husband  was in the Army with Jim s brother Gene around 1950.    Gene came to visit around  45 yrs ago and Jim and Florence came with him and Jim and Florence decided to relocate to Az. They become members of our family being much love to all.
Florence was the life of the party or get together. She would call me every Sunday night until 2 weeks ago.  She then called me to say goodbye.  She  was loved by all.   She was ready for the Lord.

Florence   we were so sorry to hear of your passing    you were in our lives for near 40 years    what a beautiful caring lady you were and we will miss you dearly  all the kids loved you  sophie,  ray,  tammy and Jim's Godson Raymond and all the rest of the family.  our trips to Ac to watch Miss America pagents and you told me the story of the shoes. as we were country folks and never heard.  what good times we had.  you never forgot a birthday  or our  anniversary. you felt so bad this yr as we were away the 12th so we  spoke on the 16th of aug never realizing that would be the last time we would hear your voice. tell  jim and your mom we say hello Heaven received a special Angel when he called you home. Rest in Peace after 104 yrs on the earth.  and thanks to your nephew Tim for taking care of you.  You will be in our hearts and memories forever Love Fay and Bud and family

Aunt Florence was the funniest, most wittiest person I knew. I remember visiting her at her and Uncle Jimmy's house in Philly and she would make these hard cookie things because she never baked and used her stove as a planter.  I still have many pictures of myself, my grams and gramps and my mom in front of the Christmas tree at their house. And THE DOLLS! Aunt Florence was the best. I will miss her laugh. The last things we received from her were graduation cards for my boys. They thought it was the coolest that their 103 year old great aunt wrote them a card and thought of them. Just a cool lady. Love you Aunt Flo!

There are so many memories but the one that sticks out in my mind is :   When she was watching our dog Fluffy who she loved so much wouldn’t eat, she told us she got on the floor with him and pretended to eat so he would. She was so afraid he would starve.  And of course my memories of our Miss America Pagents we watched together.  I will miss her wit and kindness ❤️❤️ Love you Aunt Florence
