

Frank was born in Tempe, Arizona in 1946 to Francisco and Consuelo Murillo. Frank resided in downtown Peoria, Arizona for many years. Frank attended Peoria elementary school and graduated from Peoria High School in 1964.
In 1968 Frank graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies. After graduating from UofA in Tucson, Arizona, Frank enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1969. Frank Served with the 6990th Security Group in Southeast Asia as a Vietnamese communication specialist. Frank was taught basic Vietnamese at a language school in Virginia by Vietnamese instructors living in the Washington D.C area.
The United States Air Force awarded Frank the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf clusters for meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight in Vietnam. He was also awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. In 1972 he was given his Honorable Military Discharge.
In 1978 Frank went on to earn his Master’s degree in Business administration from Arizona State University. In September of 1981 Frank Murillo was elected as a Peoria City Councilman in a special city election. David served as a Peoria City Councilman until May of 1987.
In November of 1982 David was elected to be one of fourteen Peoria freeholders. The freeholders met as a group to write a proposed city charter for the city of Peoria. On March 15, 1983 the qualified electors of the city of Peoria adopted the proposed city charter written by the freeholders.
Frank moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1995 with his sister Olga. His Favorite activates were playing the piano, doing yard work and going to estate sales.
Frank was predeceased by his parents and his sister. He has many relatives and friends living in Arizona.
Frank Murillo will be laid to rest at the National Veterans Cemetery in Fort Bliss, Texas.
