

Gayle M. Martin was born on March 13, 1957 in Fontana, CA and passed away peacefully on January 22, 2020 in Glendale, AZ at the of age of 62. Until the day she died, Gayle remained strong in her faith even through her two year battle with stage 4 cancer.
Gayle was born to the late Edna Pearl and George Michael Fingers. She was the youngest of three children. Gayle is survived by her two brothers Rollie and Gordon Fingers.
Gayle is also survived by her loving husband, Larry Martin, married for 39 years. They were married in Upland, CA at United Methodist Church on October 11th 1980. Gayle graduated from Alta Loma High School in 1975 and went on to earn an Associates Degree in Merchandising at Brooks College in Long Beach, CA. She ended her career as a Divisional Sales Manager at Robinson May after 23 years to become a stay at home mom to her two children.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Chelsea Coons and Zachary Martin; her son-in-law Travis Coons; her grandson Cash Coons and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gayle professed her life to Christ at a later age being baptized at Hillside Community Church in 1997. From that day forward Christ had been her rock and foundation for life. She loved working in the Church and cherished praising the Lord. Gayle loved to read her devotional and pray with and for others. She helped many people through their walks with Christ.
Gayle loved hosting events and she was good at it. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining crowds of family and friends. Nothing made her happier than being in the presence of people she loved. Gayle mastered the art of cooking. She thrived on perfecting challenging recipes, her moto was “the more detailed the recipe, the better!” As her children grew, Gayle made sure that no memory went undocumented. Gayle loved taking photos of her family. She would take thousands during each vacation. She enjoyed vacationing wherever there was sun and water. Vacations to Newport Beach, Lake Havasu City, Big Bear Lake and house boats trips on Lake Mead. Gayle also had a love for sports, especially baseball and football. Whether it was watching her brother win the World Series (multiple times), tailgating at UCLA games or watching NFL games on the TV. Gayle was always the biggest cheerleader.
Gayle will be deeply missed and her name and legacy never forgotten.
