I just found out about Grant's passing. I am at a loss for words.  We have known each other since high school after a chance meeting cruising Metro Center on Friday night. We had a lot of fun times and great memories.  We always kept in touch. Grant will truly be missed.  My condolences to Nicole.   May he  Rest in Peace.

I am devastated to learn of Grants passing. I met Grant through a mutual friend back in 1993 and we seemed to hit it right off. We enjoyed talking about NASCAR and his favorite driver Ernie Irvin. Grant was always working on this Quadzilla
sand drag quad and was quite the driver himself.
I handnt seen Grant in a few years and one day he came into Interstate Steel where I worked we were both happy to see each other. Grant was a talented machinists but over and above everything he was a really nice guy. Nicole my condolences to you and the family. Grant hope to catch up with ya again someday. Grant, I worked with you and A&B in 1982-83. You were a good guy, rest in peace my friend.

Grant. I am a loss for words. I met you as a kid. We spent countless times camping, riding and enjoying life. You are great friend to not only me, but my family (Lyall’s).  I was the youngest but I looked up to you.  You are one on my father’s best friends. Grant has always taken the time to help a friend including myself. He will be so missed!

I worked with Grant at a couple of machine shops years ago.  I loved his sense of humor and knowledge of how to make things work.  I introduced Grant to his future 
bride -to-be, Nicole,  where after several months, they  married.  We’ve been friends for 31+ years.  I’m going to miss that wild guy.  May he finally Rest in Peace.

The power of a person – the kindness of a soul- I don’t think we ever realize it until it’s too late. To Grant -Life was an adventure. To have fun and push the boundaries of expectation. To wrangle what most of us fear and to make it submissive, that was just the way he did it.  
I don’t think his lack of fear made him fearless. I think it was his abundance of life; seeking adventure that made him this way. Compared to many, I have not had the time or the stories, but what I do know. What I have seen- Grant’s love – for Nicole, for the life they built – the plants he grew, and the dogs he loved- the friends he cherished - his soul was so much bigger than he would give himself credit for. 
Grant is a once in a lifetime person. He will always be loved. He will always be missed.

I live in California and only saw him at the sand drags, but we were racing friends. Always looked forward to seeing him and racing against him. I will miss him. He always had a smile and kind words.

I am so sad to hear of grants death. He appeared to be the most healthy of the group.  Even though I have also lost my husband I can’t know how you are feeling.
I know not so close in the last few years.  As Al wasn’t Al but Grant and Tommy always went to visit him.  And I loved them for that 
We have had so many great times and wonderful memories together
He will be missed so much by everyone that knew him.

Showing up as visitors to several sand drags the 30 y/o Grant was a mischevious soul.   Fond memories of campfire discussions, desert landscapes, and the smell of nitrous oxide laughter.

I wanted to give him my heartfelt condolences for this loss. I can't imagine how much pain and anguish they must be feeling. Few things one says can alleviate in these situations. But what helped me a lot is what I would like to share with you.
 Understanding why these things happen and that God is not to blame for them took away my grudge and at the same time a great weight from my shoulders. Actually, it's the opposite, He gives us wonderful hope that we're going to be able to hug and see our loved ones who have died again, doesn't He think it's wonderful that this is going to happen?
In the book of Acts  24 verse 15 "God promises that there will be a resurrection," and what the Bible gives us is a real, solid, well-founded hope.
 Other texts that can help you, John 5:28,29 , Ecclesiastes 5:9,10 – Job 14:14,15
We know that such intense pain for the loss takes time.
