Born October 14, 1953, in Yakima, Washington; he spent his youth in the Yakima Valley, graduating from Selah High School in 1972.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Scott and Pollyanna Clark Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Joy Hamilton, one son and daughter-in-law (Timothy Aaron and Alicia), two grandsons, (Leo Clark and Jack Parker), and one brother and sister-in-law (Leroy Scott Hamilton II (Scottie and Vicky )). He is also survived by his dear mother-in-law Emma Gene Gross (Mama Gene), two brothers-in-law, Greg Gross (Laurie) and Randall Gross (Josephine), several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Greg’s career as a certified Gemological Institute of America jeweler spanned several decades. He opened and managed retail jewelry stores in Washington State, California, and Arizona.
His diamond-adorned putter will be remembered as what combined his love for work and golf. After semi-retiring from the jewelry industry, his focus turned to managing their investment properties.
Greg had a quick wit, a wild and crazy sense of humor, held strong political beliefs, loved to sing and was an avid golf enthusiast. He was a problem solver, a fixer (MacGyver), a researcher, a planner, including many detailed world-wide trips, and recent RV adventures– all par excellence! Greg and Crystal were looking forward to celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this September with a trip to Iceland. Greg had already planned each and every detail.
He loved God, his family and his friends with all his heart. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed, but we know that he is in Heaven, resting in the arms of Jesus – and we know that while “weeping may tarry for the night, joy comes in the morning” (Ps. 30:5)
